Christmas Banner

I previously had made a Halloween Banner posted here out of a chipboard banner package from CTMH. To be able to use it for more than one holiday I made the other side to hang at Christmas. So I took Christmas papers, stamps, buttons, glitter, and doo dads to decorate each banner section on the opposite side. Because there are 8 pieces  in this package, and I was tying to come up with a  word or words that I would use to spell across it. I thought of Believe, Joy, Merry to name  few but  I wanted an evenness to it so I decided on HO HO HO. This gave me two that I could use between each Ho Ho. I am showing them in groups of two with the last picture the whole banner. I have it in my entry way above a wooden bench . I used a number of different materials to decorate each banner. Because my papers are in an off white tone I had to alter some of the buttons that were white to an off white color. What I ended up doing was taking a dauber and rubbing an ink color like Desert Sand or Chocolate so it would blend in better. Remember when working on project you can always alter different elements to match what you are working on. Ink, covering with papers, embossing powders, glitter, rub-ons,etc. It was lot's of fun to go through my stash and just play. I really like how it turned out. What do you think?

This last picture shows the complete banner on my wall. I also made the wreath hanging above it. This was done primarily with my Embroidery sewing machine. I stitched out various cacti designs first. Then I put together a background with 3 different fabrics stitched together and attached to the wreath base. Then I made my scene with the stitched out embroidery pieces,  adding some sequins, button light strands etc.

Remember you can click on the pictures to make them larger to see the details close-up.
Thanks for stopping by.
