Love layout

Today I have a 2 page layout using the Roxie paper. It would work really good for Valentine Day pictures.  This layout features  the colors of Tulip, Smoothie, Black and Desert Sand. I used the Cricut cart from CTMH for the circle. There is some second generation stamping with the roses, the bling buttons and stick pins from the Bling Assortment pack, Black Hemp and a title stamped using the alphabet called Chocolate small for all the embellishment parts of the layout. To give the scallop trim a bit more bling I added some clear bitty sparkles to every other printed sparkle. Of course I am missing my pictures which will make the layout look even better and come alive. I will update this post when I get my pictures added.

Thanks for stopping by. I wish everyone a vey Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Happy Valentine's Day

Here are a few Valentine projects that can hold a sweet treat for that special someone. There are so many talented crafters on the web and I have taken from those that I have seen for making the following.
This is a Treat Box. I used a die and the Cuddlebug to cut the Heart opening and then placed a piece of Transparency over the opening. Then using items from my stash I stamped "Be My Valentine" on a banner which was attached across the Heart. Then I took 3 sizes of Prima flowers in pinks and red to finish the embellishment. (I filled it with JuJu hearts)

Owls are all the rage right now so why not make a Valentine with an Owl. This one was totally cut from the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge. I used the Roxie paper and Tulip CS to make the pillow box that the Owl is built on.  I finished him off with cream pearls for the eyes and a little card is his hand. This was not my original design and I can't think of who made him but a Big Thank You for your creativity.

These two Heart Boxes came to be after I got looking through the CTMH cartridge and saw the Heart Box shape. I have 2 Grandchildren and thought they would be cute for them. So I made a Pink one for the girl and a red one for the boy. To decorate I again used bits and pieces from my stash. I didn't make these very big. I cut these at 5.5" But you could make these whatever size you wanted. I used one of the border designs for the handle.
My last one is a strip of CS folded in two places to make the shape shown above. I took my Doily Lace Martha Stewart border punch and red CS to make a pretty edging. Then finished it with ribbon and items from my stash again. You open the flap and the next flap where you can put in a small bag of candy. To close the flap I used a small piece of velcro.

I hope you enjoyed these Valentine Treat projects. Thanks for stopping by.
Have a very Happy Valentine's Day!!!
