Washer Necklace and Button Bracelet

There have been some jewelry showing up around the internet sites using washers from the hardware store and paper. Can you believe it? So of course  I wanted to give it a try and this is what I came up with. I also made a Button Bracelet to match. They are easy to make. Here are the instructions.
  1. Choose a washer the size of your choice at the hardware store. Then choose your paper. Trace the washer on your paper and cut out one to cover the front and one for the back. I made my front and back the same papers but you could place a different paper on the back and have a reversible necklace.
  2. Place a small amount of Liquid Glass on the washer. Apply one of the circles of paper. Do one side at a time. Be sure completely dry before doing the other side.
  3. Add any bling or jewels of your choice.
  4. Apply Liquid Glass to cover the paper completely.
  5. When dry turn over and do the same to the back. You can cover  the back with paper only if not making a reversible necklace.
  6. Using the Finishing Files sand the edges on the inner circle and the outer edge.Sand from the top down.
  7. Add cord. You can add beads on the cord or leave plain.
For the bracelet check out these videos  from a fellow CTMH consultant Haley Dyer. The first video she shows making the bracelet. The second video shows how to make the clasp.
