A Pumpkin for your Thanksgiving Table

I am so sorry for the delay in getting some of my posts up in time for Thanksgiving.  But I decided to post them anyway. If you like them you can save the idea for next year and be some what ahead of yourself.  This project originated from http://inkspirations4u.ning.com/profile/MadelineMorcelo.  Check her site out. When you are a member of her site you have access to the directions.  I thought it was so cute and because it is larger in size it does work perfectly for your table centerpiece. It is big enough to have a presence but not to big to take up to much space.

I used the "Flirty" paper from CTMH. I also used the "Fall Harvest" stamp set also from CTMH.

I also want to show you another style of a pumpkin only this one is much smaller and can be used as a place card at the table. I am going to make these for next year. I used the same paper and the September SOTM called "Fall Favorites" for the leaves. The banner is where I will be writing each persons name.  This is also a pattern from Madeline Morecelo.
This year for Thanksgiving I made some Favor boxes for each person. I used the Artiste Cricut cartridge to cut the pieces or the boxes. I used New England Ivy CS for the Scallop top and bottom and Barn Red CS for the box itself. To decorate the top I cut a 1 1/2" x 12" strip of Flirty B&T and scored it every 1/4" across the strip. Then accordion folded it and brought the ends together to make a Rosette. For the pumpkin on top of the Rosette I used the "So Grateful" stamp set. I added a leaf with a sparkle form the Brown & Tan assortment and made a bow with Chocolate Waxy Flax. To finish it off I stamped "Thanksgiving " on the banner using Barn Red ink. You could also use these as the place card and add the persons name on the banner instead of the word Thanksgiving. In my case I had some Turkey's I had made for the Place card so used my boxes as just favor boxes. I put some mixed nuts, a wrapped in B&T paper mini chocolate piece and some "Acorns" that I made in the boxes.  The acorns are made using a Hershey Kiss, a mini Nutter Butter cookie and a Butterscotch chip. They are so easy to do. You melt a few of the Hershey Kisses to use to put each part together. The Hershey Kiss goes on the bottom, spread a little of the melted chocolate on the flat part of the kiss and add the Nutter Butter cookie. Let that set until solid. So I did all my pieces like this first. Once they are solid take the small Butterscotch morsel and add a little of the chocolate to the flat part of it and add to the top of the Nutter Butter cookie. So when you are done you have the butterscotch chip on top, then the cookie and then the Hershey Kiss.

For my Turkey's I added a small tag with each persons name on it and attached it to the side of the hat. I made them with the Create  A Critter Cricut Cartridge.
