A few more Easter projects to share with you

As I said in my last post I am a bit behind in getting some posts up. But even though Easter has come and gone I thought you might still enjoy seeing a few of the projects I had made for Easter.

This first one is another SVG file from www.svgcuts.com. This file is called Egg Hunt.  It is a chocolate bunny card. The bunny has 3 layers to him making it very dimensional. I embossed the top layer with the CTMH Damask embossing folder. I liked the effect it gave the little bunny. Of course I had to make boy & girl bunnies too.

Here is a close up of the embossing and the multiple layers.
I also  made a couple of other Easter cards. . This one was cut from my Cricut  Explore and was from the Bunny Hop  file from ww.svgcuts.com. It has multiple layers and is adhered only at the top half of the basket handle. It stands nicely. I cut two of the eggs with glitter paper and they cut like butter. Depending on what papers you used this card could look completely different and you could make a number of them in no time being each piece is cut from the Cricut. I am having so much fun learning about the Cricut Explore and all that can be done with it.
This  one is using CTMH stamps and paper ,add  a little stitching and a little coloring. Then finish it off with  some seam binding ribbon and you have a cute little card.
 Thanks for stopping by.

Easter has come and gone but.....

Well if you are still following me and I hope you are I am sorry I haven't posted in a while. But I hope things will work out so that I can post regularly.
Now I know Easter has come and gone but I still wanted to share with you a few things I made for Easter this year.  You can always think about them for next year if you like them.

First I have a Bunny Treat Box. This was made from a SVG file from www.svgcuts.com . They have the cutest projects at that site. This Bunny box was from the group called Bunny Hop. She was so much fun to make.

This was my first time at making a project with a SVG file on my Cricut Explore and I must say it was so easy to do. The cuts came out perfect!! too. I had so much fun making this one that I cut another one out in a pastel yellow to give this one some company. I will be a little bit ready for next years Easter. lol

Thanks for stopping by.

Easter is just around the corner

Easter is early his year so I thought I had better start on some of my Easter projects. In the new Spring/Summer Idea Book for CTMH they have a new stamp called "Hoppy Easter". It has the cutest Bunny. Don't you agree?  This stamp set lent itself to using the alcohol markers to add color to the bunny and the egg he is carrying.  I used a few colors of markers and the colored pencils and waterbrush to color my stamped images.
The Artiste Cricut cartridge was used to cut the clouds.
It was a fun card to make and of course I had to add some stitching. I just love to stitch on everything I make.
Supply List:
B1423 Hoppy Easter
Chantilly Paper
Buttercup & White daisy CS
Color Ready Seam Binding Ribbon
Sky, Cotton Candy, Pear, Crème Brulee,Whisper, Blush markers
Sunny Yellow colored pencil
Waterbrush
White Embroidery Floss
Bitty Sparkles

Easter card # 2

This is the card I used the "Adhesive Springs" on. It probably is hard to tell but the middle bunny is the one with the spring attached. So he is sitting up from his brothers and sisters. What is so nice about these springs is that they flatten down flat to the card for putting git in the envelope and mailing. But when the card is removed it will spring into action.
I used the stamp set "My Peeps". I used the border strip that says- Happy Easter to my peeps with Baby Pink ink and stamped it over and over on the base white card. Then I used a Fiskars border punch and Smoothie CS to add a  bit of an accent. The bottom paper is a textured Sweet Leaf CS piece. Then I stamped the eggs and colored them with CTMH colored pencils and a waterbrush. I stamped the bunny with Smoothie ink on Baby Pink CS three times and cut them out. The center one like I said has the spring attached and I added Licorice Opaque Pearls for the eyes and nose. The other two bunnies I used a black marker for their eyes and nose. Before adding that center piece to the card I added the flower embellishment from the Just Blooms Paradise collection and a sweet leaf button from the Spring Button collection to the top left corner of the card.

I hope you enjoy this card. Thanks for stopping by.
I wish all of you a very Happy Easter!!

Easter Card #1

I wanted to share a couple of Easter Cards I have been able to get made amongst all those Bunnies!! LOL I used a stamp set called "My Peeps" for the egg border. To color the eggs I used colored pencils and my waterbrush. The papers are from "Lucy" and Sweet Leaf & Smoothie Card stocks. To embellish I added some Sorbet ribbon and I used a Fiskars Border punch called "Apron Lace".

I have another Easter card I will post tomorrow. In that one I used a new product to me called "adhesive springs". Come back to see how I used them.

Thanks for stopping by. I love comments too.

It started with TWO and then....

What I mean by my title is that Easter has taken over my craft room! I have bunnies multiplying like crazy. I am having so much fun making these little bunnies come to life. I have made a few different styles and sizes.  I used my Cricut, my Gypsy  and the AP CTMH cricut cartridge to make each and every one.
First up I have shown previously but wanted to include them again with all of there companions.
These two bunnies have a basket thy are attached to so you can add a little candy treat. I made a little girl bunny and a little boy bunny. By using ovals and circles along with a body shape and a few strips for whiskers, when all put together you get a CUTE Bunny.
My next group of Bunnies has a Mom and two little children shown here. These bunnies double as a card also. I took a heart and attached another heart at the pointed ends welding the two together with my Gypsy. So they open up and you can have an Easter message inside. They are also attached to a basket you can fill with goodies. Don't they all of there own look even though they are all made using the same pieces?

Oh MY!!! Mom and Dad sure were busy!! LOL Now to explain just why I made so many bunnies. I decided for Easter dinner they would make cute place cards at the table. Because the front piece flips open I was able to stamp Happy Easter and add each persons name that will be at Easter Dinner. Like the one above they are attached to a basket which I will add jelly beans, foil chocolate eggs, Robin Bird eggs etc as a little treat for each person.
Because I was having so much fun making bunnies I added a couple more to the group. This one was made just a bit different adding some teeth, making it with only white card stock and giving it color and character with Hollyhock sponging. I added two Licorice Opaque Gems for her eyes and cut into the face for some whiskers. Again it is attached to a basket so you include some treats.
My last bunny is a full standing up bunny. I used Desert Sand Card stock, White Daisy CS and Blush for the inner ears. I added some white pen markings to give him a little personality.
I want to give thanks to all the other creative people on the web that I got my inspiration from. It was so much fun to do. I thought I was done but I  need to make a few more for the Easter Dinner table.  Then I will be done.
Thanks for  stopping by.

Easter is coming soon

I love Easter. Especially now again because of my Grandkids. My memories of how much fun it was going on Easter Egg hunts and looking for my Easter Basket. So while surfing the web at all the crafty people out there I put together this Easter Basket. I'm sorry I don't have the specific name of the main creator of this bunny but I want to thank you very much for your creativity.
I used the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge by CTMH , my Gypsy and a couple of circle punches to make these bunny baskets.
I used white and Cotton Candy CS and inked the edges with Grey Wool ink. A white pen to make her eyes. You can make all different expressions with just a bit of white.

I made this basket  in two sizes. By changing the ribbon bow to pink or blue you can have a boy bunny or girl bunny. I am going to fill them with a little easter grass and jelly beans etc. The bunny is built onto the front of a box that the treats will go in.
This one is the smaller one. It may be hard to tell in the pictures. But aren't they cute litte  bunnies?

This is the bigger of the two Easte Bunny Baskets.

Here is the back of the box/basket. I added a bit of polyfill for her tail.   I love these! I hpe you do to.
Thanks for stopping by.

My Easter Cards

Easter Cards (I had to wait until everyone got their cards before I could post them)

Here are some of my Easter Cards I made. I used my Cricut Expressions and the cut files I got from Wanda over at http://myscraphappyplace.blogspot.com/ It was so fun to cut the Chick out and then put together a card. I used a retired CTMH stamp for the inside saying.

This card was made using the same Chick as above but made on a smaller card

This was so much fun!! I love these Stair Step Cards

Card Recipe:
I used the following CTMH stamp sets
Bunny Love
Speckled Eggs
March Word Puzzle
CTMH paper flowers with Create A Shade Pearl Paint.
Martha Stewart border picket fence punch
Nestibilities for the scallop circles
A misc stamp for the Happy Easter.
The paper is CTMH from the Emporium pack.

I used the following technique on the paper flowers. I started with white flowers. I used my CTMH markers and colored each of the flowers. Insert a brad. Then I took the Pearl Paint and brushed it over each of the flowers including the brads. Let dry and you have a nice pearlized look .

The CTMH ink and marker colors used were Heavenly blue, Lilac Mist, Sunny Yellow, Hollyhock, Key lime, Desert sand and Chocolate. I think that was all of them.

This was another card made using the Cricut and a cut file from Wanda as mentioned above. I love the Chicky legs hanging over the edge. This also was made using the Cuttlebug and one of my Fiskars Texture plates to make the design in the basket.
I hope you enjoyed seeing these even though Easter is over.

Easter Projects

These are little candy holders made using my Cricut Expressions machine. The bunny file came from Diane at http://capadiadesigns.blogspot.com/ She is anabsolute whiz with the Design Studio. Be sure and stop by her blog. You won't want to miss seeing all of her projects.
The Chick was from Jen over at Brain Things.
I used the cut files from these talented ladies to cut them out but then put my own style of embellishments etc. on. Check out both of these ladies blogs. They are very talented with loads of inspiration to be found.
The stuffed Bunny and Chick I bought at JoAnns. They are so soft and just the right size for my Granddaughter to walk around with and have when she is in her car seat etc. I hope she likes both the paper versions I made and the stuffed ones. She is to young yet for the candy etc. so I went with these and some really cute hair clips with bunnies on them. They are in the 3rd picture . Remember you can always click on a picture to see it larger.

Now I need to get some Easter cards made.
