Tiny cards

I love making those little cards!! 3 x 3 and 3 x 4 sized cards. They are nice for gift inserts and thank you cards. I have a few to share with you today.

The first one is 3 x 3. I cut the card with Outdoor denim CS and cut it with the Cricut. Then I used the Quaterfoil Embossing folder from CTMH to emboss the front side of the card. Then I added a couple strips from the Ariana paper pack and a layered butterfly also cut with the Cricut. Finally I added a few clear sparkles to the body of the butterfly.
The second card is 3 x 4. This time a Ruby Cs card base was used. Then 3 strips of paper were added to the front. Two are from the Ariana paper pack and the middle one is Ruby cs that was embossed with the Damask Embossing folder from CTMH. Then I stamped a sentiment from the Inspirations Flourishes stamp set with Ruby ink and added a few clear sparkles on either side.
The third card is a 3 x 3 card. This one also uses an embossing folder from CTMH. This time it is the Chevron folder. The flower, leaves, and banner were all cut from the Cricut and stamped with a couple different stamp sets. The colors in this card are Indian Corn Blue, Pear, Honey. Lastly I tied some twine in a button and added it to the flower center.
I'm sure I will be back with more of this size card. I love them so much.

Butterfly card

When I got my Cricut Explore there are a number of Make it Now projects. Anna Griifin has a number of them in this category too. This is her Butterly Card. I thought it was so pretty I had to make it for a Birthday card I needed. Now I didn't have any of her papers at the time so I had to improvise with some papers in my stash. I think no matter what papers you used it would turn out beautiful. The design is so pretty and intricate. The butterflies are two layers. This was one of my very first projects with my Cricut Explore. I was very impressed on how it cut the details in this card. How fun!!

Balloon Ride Layouts

I love this paper pack called Balloon Ride form CTMH. It has really pretty soft colors. I made both the WOTG and the extra layout from the WOTG.

This layout uses some Cricut cuts, stamping, sparkle flourishes and the Balloon Ride assortment of dimensional type buttons.

These  are the Extra WOTG layouts. Isn't that base page a beautiful paper?!!  I love the beautiful Cricut cut for the large photo mat. Plus adding the stamping along the one side in Saddle ink really adds to it. Again sparkle flourishes and the Balloon Ride assortment were used as embellishments on the pages.

I am going to be making a couple more pages with this paper so stay tuned to see those too.

A few more Easter projects to share with you

As I said in my last post I am a bit behind in getting some posts up. But even though Easter has come and gone I thought you might still enjoy seeing a few of the projects I had made for Easter.

This first one is another SVG file from www.svgcuts.com. This file is called Egg Hunt.  It is a chocolate bunny card. The bunny has 3 layers to him making it very dimensional. I embossed the top layer with the CTMH Damask embossing folder. I liked the effect it gave the little bunny. Of course I had to make boy & girl bunnies too.

Here is a close up of the embossing and the multiple layers.
I also  made a couple of other Easter cards. . This one was cut from my Cricut  Explore and was from the Bunny Hop  file from ww.svgcuts.com. It has multiple layers and is adhered only at the top half of the basket handle. It stands nicely. I cut two of the eggs with glitter paper and they cut like butter. Depending on what papers you used this card could look completely different and you could make a number of them in no time being each piece is cut from the Cricut. I am having so much fun learning about the Cricut Explore and all that can be done with it.
This  one is using CTMH stamps and paper ,add  a little stitching and a little coloring. Then finish it off with  some seam binding ribbon and you have a cute little card.
 Thanks for stopping by.

Easter has come and gone but.....

Well if you are still following me and I hope you are I am sorry I haven't posted in a while. But I hope things will work out so that I can post regularly.
Now I know Easter has come and gone but I still wanted to share with you a few things I made for Easter this year.  You can always think about them for next year if you like them.

First I have a Bunny Treat Box. This was made from a SVG file from www.svgcuts.com . They have the cutest projects at that site. This Bunny box was from the group called Bunny Hop. She was so much fun to make.

This was my first time at making a project with a SVG file on my Cricut Explore and I must say it was so easy to do. The cuts came out perfect!! too. I had so much fun making this one that I cut another one out in a pastel yellow to give this one some company. I will be a little bit ready for next years Easter. lol

Video on CTMH three cricut cartridges

Each one of the CTMH cartridges comes with 700 different images!! There is a Font and images. That alone makes them amazing. When deciding which one to get first that depends on what type of papercrafting you are doing at the moment. Each cartridge comes as a bundle with 3 stamp sets and 3 sheets of chipboard elements. So they are all of equal value.

Because as a suite of cartridges they pretty much cover all your papercrafting needs as the three contain 2,100 images all together that can be combined and resized to make just about anything your imagination can create!
Here is a brief description of each cartridge.

Art Philosophy - your one stop shop for all you foundational basic and iconic shapes, tags and card bases.  From acorns to snowflakes this one is chock full of 700 images that cover a range of papercrafting needs.

Artiste - if you are planning a party or like to give gifts in specialty wrapping this is the one for you.  I love the party hats, the gift boxes, cupcake wrappers and themed parties on this one and use it extensively now to decorate for any occasion.

Artbooking - The focus is on scrapbooking - both traditional 12x12 pages as well as themed mini-books.  The 700 images include photo mats, overlays, borders, icons, font and more.  Everything is size linked together to make scrapping a breeze but all can be used individually and sized for any type of project.

Now take a peek at the video for some more info.
