You're Tweet Cards

This card was made using two of the CTMH Cricut catridges. The Art Philosophy and Artiste cartridges.  These  cards were designed by Adeline Brill. Thank you Adeline. Check her out for some more fantastic projects.
In this project she was showing how to use some of the different buttons available to us on our Cricuts that we may forget about or not know how to use. Also both cards are very similar but not exactly the same. The top one is cut with the Artiste cartridge and the bottom one with the Art Philosophy cartridge. Some of the buttons that we don't often think about using like Flip, Portrait, Fit To Length, Repeat Last, Settings to change from 1/4ths to 1/10ths,  Quantity and Real Dial Size, to name a few.  As an example in these cards the stamped frame  comes from a stamp set called Frame Flair D1548. On the carrier sheet for the stamp set it states which Cricut cartridge is used and what size to cut the images for the stamp to fit exactly. So it said to use the Art Philsophy cart and to cut it at 2 1/4". So in the bottom card the stamped image fits nicely on the white daisy CS cut piece. But on the top card the same stamp was used but the image was chosen from the Artiste cartridge and so it doesn't match exactly but yet it still works.

It is something to try when you are playing around with your different Cricut buttons. Pick a cartridge and a stamp set that has a Cricut image and see if you can make the same card using another cartridge by finding similar images. It helps us to look outside the box a little and expand our knowledge and our supplies. Try out some of the different buttons to see what they do for you. It will be surprising on how much can be done with a change or addition of a few buttons.

Trim the tree Card

I am going to try and show some of the Christmas cards and layouts that I have been working on lately. My life has been crazy busy with all the Christmas Projects and gifts and decorating the house!! The time is flying by too! Hopefully I will complete everything on my list. lol

This card uses one of the new CTMH products. They are rhinestone Holiday shapes that match both a stamp set and Cricut cuts. So it is very quick to put such a beautiful card together. The stamp set has the size of the image and the page # where it is found in the Cricut handbook. So all you need to do is cut your images with the Art Philosophy cartridge then stamp the corresponding shapes with the Tim the tree stamp set. Lastly add the Holiday Shape around the outside of the stamped image. In this card both the trees and the star have the Holiday Shape attached to the stamped image.

Along the left side of this card I also used the stitching ruler and stitched a zigzag line using some grey floss. You could leave this step out though if you aren't a stitcher. You could stamp in that area from a stamp set tat has stitching images as another way of getting a similar look.

Finally using the Artbooking cartridge I cut the "Believe" using RDS and 1". This card is a great one for using all those scraps you have.

Thanks for stopping by. See you next time.
