A Tissue Paper Flower

DSC02789

Making Flowers are the rage right now. They can be made from a variety of products. Today I am posting a 3x3 card with a Tissue Paper Flower. I first made my card with a Bamboo base that is 3x6 and scored at 3”. I made this one as a top fold card. I added a 3x3 piece of Black CS. Then added a scallop border using the Fiskars Threading Water punch and Bamboo CS. Then I took a 2 1/2 square of Hollyhock CS and stamped “Thinking of You” with black ink and placed it in the right upper corner. I used the stamp set called  “Say it in Style” D1283. Now comes the Tissue Paper Rose. I used the Scallop punch (new this year in the CTMH Idea Book”} and punched 3 pieces of tissue paper. I used 1 printed and 2 solid pink tissue papers. After punching them out , scrunch them up in your hands. Now poke a hole through the center with your paper piercer and attach a black button brad. Add to the front of your card. To fluff the flower again take the whole group and scrunch in your hands. Peel off the bottom layer and scrunch the top 2 layers. Lay down the 2nd layer and scrunch the top layer again. Then open it up. You can scrunch a lot or a little. Even after putting it in the envelope it will still fluff back up after removing it. Have fun giving these a try. You can vary the number of layers from mine if you want a fuller flower.
