It's Baby Shower Time

There are 3 Moms to be all due about the same time . My daughter and her sister in law are due within a week of each other in June. The third one is the sister in law's  sister and she is  due in May.

So the crafting began!!  So first I went to www.svgcuts.com and found the cutest projects in there Bundle of Joy file. Next the search for the quantity of paper I was going to need. I had to plan to make 50  3D Rocking Horses  half for Baby Boy & the half for Baby Girl for the table favors for each guest. In addition I decided to make Diaper Pin name tags again making half in blue and the other half in pink.

It took me hours to find just the right papers to cut all the different pieces I would need and of course I wanted them to match. I did pretty good I just had to choose two different paper selections for the Girl horses. They just didn't have the quantity I needed all in one main paper. So finally I had my paper picked out and grabbed the adhesive I would need and a few embellishments and off I went to get started.

I used my Cricut Explore and had 7 mats going feeding them through one after another. This process took quite a few hours/days!! It was an assembly line of putting a mat in and taking the pieces off the mat that came out. I stacked all my pieces and bags for each pile to go in so I wouldn't lose track of any of them. I was so fortunate to have a friend help me, That made it a much more fun process and another "brain" for figuring out what we needed to do next!! lol

So to start with I wanted to make one of each version. So we got looking at the all the pieces and I said I think we need to do some inking on the edges. So we choose a couple of pieces that we thought that would do it. Well I probably don't have to tell you what happened. We decided we needed to ink ALL the pieces!!! Now of course that added more time to this HUGE project but I was much happier with the result.

Inking got done and assembly began. After putting a few together I got thinking I need to decorate both sides!!! Not only did this add even more time to the mix but I had to buy more paper!!!!  But in the end I am happier with the look of them with the inking and the completing both sides.

I have quite a few pictures to show you. I hope you think these are as cute as I do.

This first picture shows one of each version. The Girl Horses vary only slightly. The main body paper is stripes in half of them and butterflies in the other half.
The second picture is a group of the Girl Rocking Horses.
The third picture is a group of the Boy Rocking Horses.

These are the diaper Pin name tags. The svg file was meant to be a place card. But I needed them as name tags so I just cut the place card piece in half.
I found matching papers that had little shoes in different colors. You can see that a little bit in the decorative pieces that ere added to the front and back sections of the pin.
The boy paper also had little hats scattered on the paper along with the shoes. Then we are going to have each person write their name in the center portion.

I know this has been a long post but I hope you enjoyed what you saw. Thanks for staying with me to the end.

Thanks for stopping by.
