Christmas Gift card Holders

I have another one of my Christmas posts. I wanted to show you these two Gift card holders because although mine are Christmas oriented you can cut this same cut for any occasion. It was cut using the Cricut CTMH Artiste cartridge for all cuts.
The gift holder is on  pg 56. I cut it at 4 3/4". Then I cut it again with a B&T paper from a retired Christmas paper I had and cut it apart layering it on the front and back and inside portions.
To decorate the front I used an image from the CTMH Oct SOTM. The ornament shape was cut from pg 79 at 3". I stamped the image on the cut with Olive ink and then applied Prism glitter. I don't know if it shows up in the picture but it turned out really sparkly. I used the CTMH stamp set called "Christmas Joy" for the sentiment on the front.
I cut a rectangle for the inside to add the inside message from the CTMH stamp "Merry & Bright"
This one was for my Nephew.

This is the other one I made using the same image just different papers and decorative image. The mittens are from the same Oct SOTM stamp that corresponds to the Artiste cartridge. The mittens were cut at 2.5" and stamped in Tulip ink and the tops in Juniper ink.
This one  was for my Niece.

Christmas Project 8

Today I have a gift card holder for that Starbuck's lover on your list. This was a project I got a couple of years ago from a good friend anf fellow Fiskateer. I finally got around to making it!! Can you believe having something for so long before getting it done??!! Anyway the Starbuck coffee sleeve is most likely not the same design this year but you can make it with any of the sleeves they have. I'm not a coffee drinker so I can't say first hand what may be available there this year. Here's how I made it.
First is the cover. You cut on side open with decorative scissors and the other side you punch 2 holes 3/4" from each end for the ribbon closure.
This is the first page when opened. On the left is the sleeve as is with an arrow added. On the right is a double-sided paper that is the size of the entire sleeve when opened. This picture is showing the back side of this paper. The following picture will show the opposite side and it covering both sides.  In addition some more papers were layered along with "Eat" (the start of the phrase Eat, Drink and Be Merry). Some Raindots were added for a little bling, along with Rub-Ons from a Heidi Grace Xmas line.
Turning the page shows you the center paper that was cut to fit the entire opened sleeve. On the left Ornaments were stamped and colored in with CTMH markers. I also added some glue and Prisma Glitter to add a little sparkle. You also punch the same 2 holes in the fold of this paper  to run the ribbon through. The right page has the word "Drink" which has some Raindots and Rub-Ons also. It also has a strip below the main word saying "latte, mocha and coffee that is..." Just a little clarification for the word "Drink". lol
These are the last pages. The left page is the completion for the " Eat, Drink and Be Merry" phrase. Some green rickrack was added for a little decoration.  The right side is where you slip the gift card in where the arrow is pointing at. I plan on writing "Love from...to ..." on the arrow. With some Rub-Ons placed on the Merry Christmas tag and a couple of flowers this page is done. Add the ribbons through the holes in the fold and the gift card is complete.
I hope you like it.

Origami 2 pocket Gift Card Holder

These is a really cute and fun Origami Gift Card Holder that I saw on Tresa Black's blog. She has a fantastic video there showing you how to make this one. Be sure and check it out. If I have any requests for me to post pictures of step by step directions I will do that.
Here it is without the tag and Gift Card.

Here it is completed with a tag and gift card.  It is a fun quick gift to make. I used all CTMH supplies.
You start with a 6x8 piece of paper for the 2 pocket holder. The tag is 3 1/4 x 2 1/2 in New England Ivy C.S. and a  3 x 2 1/4 piece of Colonial White C.S.
Supplies:
Evengsong paper
Christmas Melodies Stamp set

Gift Card Holder

I found a Gift Card Holder while surfing the net and thought how cute is that?! But I don't own the Top Note Die that was used for the top piece. So I did some thinking of other options and thought of using my Cricut. I searched my cartridges and found a design #48s  on the Accent Essentials cartridge that looks very close to the Top Note. The next challenge was trying to figure out what size to cut it at so it would fit the pocket below it. I discovered cutting it at 3 1/2" and folded it in half horizontally.

This picture shows the top being removed to show the gift card holder pocket. You can either attach the gift card to the white tag space or write a message here and use as a gift tag.

On the inside tag I stamped a little "Rudolph" an attached a red bead for his nose. Isn't he cute!!
It's getting close to our Christmas season so I thought I had better get started.
Here are the specifics.
Supplies all from CTMH unless noted:
Evensong paper
Cranberry C.S.
White Daisy C.S.
Gratitude stamp set
Cranberry ink
Chocolate ink
Black ink
Silver brads
Ecru sheer ribbon-misc
Stickles-red and Frosted Lace
Studio G $1.00 stamps-reindeer and Merry Christmas
Red glittered brad-misc
Red bead-misc
Coluzzle-tab template
1/16" hand punch
1" Circle squeeze punch- Fiskars
Paper Crimper-Fiskars
Directions:
*It is optional to paper crimp or not. But if you do this step I suggest you do it first before cutting your paper to size. Because it shrinks up the paper just a bit and because once you fold the pocket the one side is 3 layers thick and difficult to crimp. So do that now if you want that look.

1. Cut a 6x9 piece of patterned paper. Score at 3 1/2 and 7 1/2 then rotate and score at 1" on the long side.
2. Fold on score lines. Fold over the wider side first and  and then the shorter side gets glued on top of the 3 1/2" side. Lastly fold up the bottom flap and you now have a pocket.
3. Using the circle punch go in about halfway and punch out a notch.
4.Make the tag- cut the cranberry C.S. 3 1/4 x 4 3/4 and the White C.S. 3 1/8 x 4 5/8.
5. Stamp a  little reindeer in the bottom right corner. Glue these 2 pieces together.
6. Make the top of the pocket by cutting shape #48s from the Accent Essentials cartridge at 3 1/2" Fold in half lengthwise. Stamp Merry Christmas on the lower right side.  Punch a 1/16" hole in the bottom 2 corners very close to the edge. Insert the (2) silver brads. Take approx. a 12" piece of ecru ribbon and tie around upper portion of this piece in a knot on the left side. This is just for embellishment it doesn't actually hold anything closed.
7. Apply stickles to center of flowers.
