Today I wanted to share with you a layout I recently made using the beautiful papers from the Veranda Paper line. It is now Retired but I still have some and wanted to make some projects with it. I hope this picture shows all the detail in it. I had fun using some product I had bought but hadn't used much or not at all. I used Rub Ons both the regular style of Rub Ons and some Glitter Rub Ons. The stamp set is called One of a Kind. All the stamping on the right side of the page is from this stamp set. I stamped in Cocoa Ink. After the stamping was complete then I added all the Rub Ons. The Glitter Run Ons are done with the Gold Glitter sheet. So easy to do but very effective. These Glitter Rub On sheets are a really nice way of adding some Glitter without all the mess. If you haven't seen this type of Glitter Rub On this is how you use them. First you pick the design you want and cut it out of the sheet. Then you rub that on the page where you want it. his is the "glue" part of the process. Then you take the sheet of Glitter in the color you want to use. My package has Red, Gold and Silver Glitter sheets. In this layout I wanted the Gold color. You rub that over the design and Voila!! it is Glittered. I sure hope CTMH comes out with some more of this product.
I also used some paper flowers in a Creme Brulee color. The quarter circle on the bottom right has a swirl regular Rub On along with the flowers and Filigree Charms and Bitty Sparkles. There are lot's of Bitty Sparkles amongst the stamped designs, on the Filigree Charms and at the two ends of the stitching along the borders. I inked the Filigree Charms with Timber Brown Staz-On ink to give them a deeper tone which went well with my layout colors.
You will notice that it is not completely done. I ran out of the ribbon slides so the thin strip you see sticking out past the page is where I will be adding another ribbon slide like the one shown above it. I also need to add the picture and make the corresponding page. So when I get the rest done I will be back to show you the completed 2 page layout.
I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for stopping by. Comments are always appreciated.
Welcome to my little corner of crafting. I hope you get a little bit of inspiration and ideas.

"FUN" Layout
I made these pages from the Veranda Workshop kit. I used the title "Fun" to go along with the story of my pictures. My Granddaughter Grace is having so much fun jumping in her Johnny Jump Up. Remember those? I had one for my daughter and they are still around for her to get one for her daughter. I also used pictures of Grace finding her toes for the first time and starting to use a spoon. Look at her big smiles in each of the pictures!! Fun right??!!

Another Veranda Layout
I love this Veranda paper and so I made another layout continuing on with my Granddaughter's newborn pictures. I used the colors of Juniper, Garden Green, and Blush. A very simple layout but I think still effective. I gathered Blush satin polka dotted ribbon across the bottom . The title is the Friendship E-size alphabet. I made the stamped embellishments with Friendship Blessing and Smiles.

Veranda Layout
There is a kit called Veranda . It has a color palette of Juniper, Garden Green, Cocoa, and Creme Brulee. Because I made them for pictures of my Granddaughter so I added a little Blush color. I made 4 pages altogether so far and will show you 2 of them here and come back to show you the other 2 pages.
The techniques used in making these pages were scissor distressing, stamping with second generation and the Rock n Roll methods, and altering Filigree Charms with Brown Staz On ink. Lot's of fun things to try to add to your scrapbooking.

A Taste of Veranda
I just love the Veranda paper from CTMH. The colors are so beautiful together. It is made up of Creme Brulee, Cocoa, Garden Green, and Juniper.
I also have wanted to try the Easel Card. So I thought why not put the two together and make this card. I also used the So Sweet stamp set.
I hope you like it.
To make the size card I made start with cardstock 4 1/4 x 8 1/2. Score at 4 1/4 and 6 3/8. This will make a 4 1/4 square card. You can also make this card in different sizes. I will make them and be back to show you those also. Fold your card in half and then fold the other score line the opposite way. Now add strong adhesive like Scor Tape to this flap. Add a 4 1/4 square cardstock on top of that. You now have the base of a Ease card. Decorate the front and inside. When doing the inside you need to add layers or an embellishment about 1/3 up. That's it! You can make this style for any event or theme.
I made mine to send to a friend to brighten her days while she is recuperating. I hope she doesn't see it here before it arrives in the mail. Shhh....
