3D` Birdhouse

I came across the cutest little Birdhouse made by the very talented Nichole Heady. By clicking on her name you will be brought to her Birdhouse Project and Template to make your own if you want to. Thank You Nichole!!!

Now on to my version. I used the Colors Indian Corn Blue, Olive, Garden Green, White Daisy, Sunflower, and Chocolate.
I used stamps from  Felicity , Around the Block and Dainty Thoughts.
It was a fun project and I made it for a particular person. I hope she doesn't figure it out before I get it to her.
Here goes: The roof using the scallop border punch from Fiskars and Olive and Garden Green card stock. Edges inked with Olive.

The second picture shows the "boards" I made for the front and the Baby bird and Mommy bird from the Felicity stamp set.

This last picture has the fence added and the message on the roof. I used scalloped Nestibilities for the message piece along with the message from the Around the Block stamp set. The fence was made using a Martha Stewart punch. The Flowers are from Dainty Thoughts stamp set. This could be made with so many different looks. Give it a try.

Felicity Card #5

I hope you aren't tired of seeing examples from the Felicity Kit. I made another card using the beautiful Twilight and Cocoa colors together. The Die Cuts that were a part of this kit were used in layouts and cards. Using portions in a number of projects  really spread the value. Because I had already used the Twilight Die Cut on the very first layout I made I had to be a bit creative in duplicating that same look but with the pieces I have left. So I traced the shape from one that I had left onto the back side of another one to get my Twilight color. Then traced it again on the front side to get the colonial white portion. Then with some second generation stamping of the flourishes to give it a little dimension and trimming it to fit inside the Twilight piece.  The strip going across the card could hold a Title. Until I know who will get the card I am waiting to fill that in or keep it blank.
Evewn though it was a challenge getting it all figured out I feel it was worth it. What do you think?

Felicity Card #4

I am still having fun with my Felicity Kit.  This uses the Dimensional Elements for the stars. They were inked with Creme Brulee and then edged with Desert Sand. The Dimensional Elements color beautifully ans are  very easy to work with.  I added a little stitching and some Bitty Sparkles. I love those Bitty Sparkles!! I will have more to come showing different ways of using them.
I hope you enjoy it.

Take another Look at Felicity

I love this kit so much I have made another layout using the Felicity Kit and some fun techniques.
This is the left page. Zigzag stitching, pleated ribbon, along with chipboard letters and heart embellishments are featured on this page.

Here is the right page. the stitching and pleated ribbon continue across to this side of the layout. Another beautiful die cut that holds the journaling adds to this page. The clear buttons and stamping complete the page.
Here are the 2 pages together showing how one page flows into the next.  Because I stamped over the picture I used Brown Staz On Ink for the Flourishes.

Although my pictures are from an event years ago (more than I want to say lol)  I was happy to get them on a layout and in my family album. I hope you like them.

All CTMH supplies used.

Sweet Card

This month I have been working with the Felicity kit. I wanted to share another project from this kit. It is a 5 x 7 card this time using the card book Originals and the pattern called Tiny Twins. It uses a portion of one of the die cuts and stamping, pleating ribbon, stitching and layering. I really like how it turned out and the techniques were fun to put together resulting in this card.
The flowers are layered and pop dotted on the center part of the card. The stamping has both 1st and 2nd generation stamping in the flowers and leaves. The colonial white ribbon was pleated using the tape runner method. You place a strip of adhesive down where you want your ribbon. Then take your ribbon and hand pleat as you go across the adhesive strip pushing the ribbon onto the adhesive as you continue to the end. I applied 3 Colonial white buttons that were threaded before attaching. Stitching was also added using Ecru color thread from DMC. This is another example of using the die cuts in another way.

I have another example using the Felicity Kit. This is a 3 1/2" x 8" card. I am really getting into liking this size card. It fits in a regular business envelope so it is easy to mail. This is such a beautiful set. Hope you like it.

Felicity Card

This kit is such a fun kit to work with. I started making some of the cards also using parts of the Die Cut papers and the stamp set that came with it. It is amazing how far you can get one Die Cut paper to go. Here is my first card to show you. You can order all the products  from my website.

Felicity Layout #2

What do you think of this layout? Another fun one to work on. Aren't these little Birds cute? It is not quite finished besides needing pictures the title will go between both pages and make the flourishes blend in not look so alone on the page. I haven't decided which pictures yet so couldn't do my title.
