There is a layout in the past CTMH Idea Book that caught my eye the first time I saw it. Now I grant you it has taken me a long time to actually get it made!!! lol Especially since we are in a new CTMH Idea Book already!! Anyway I still wanted to share it with all of you.
It uses the Artbooking cartridge and the Honeycomb stamp set primarily. However there are numerous embellishments and interesting techniques throughout the 2 pages.
This layout has so many details. I will explain a few of of them.
1. The Overlay was cut from Olive CS and the Artbooking cartridge. I left it together while working on it. To fill in each of the honeycomb shapes many different items were used. Some were stamped in Bamboo, Olive, Chocolate, Cocoa inks, Some were images cut from one of the Style sheets that are used in the jewelry section, many images were cut from one of the Skylark B&T papers, the Skylark fabric group was even used. Once I got all my honeycomb shapes filled in then I cut it in half at 5 1/2" x 12" and attached to the base pages.
2. Some gold metallic thread was used to stitch around the base pages.
3. There are 4 1/2" x 12" strips on each page. One of the papers used was from the Basics Paper Fundamentals pack. To make this paper look a bit subdued a spray pen and Bamboo re-inker was used. , the other strips were cut from another one of the Skylark B&T papers.
4. Another component is making the box pleat with a B&T paper. A strip of the Skylark fabric was added to the box pleat and completed with a stamped image.
5. Many of the embellishments are cut from one of the B&T Skylark papers too.
6. Some ribbon, wooden arrows and chevrons , the keyboard alphabet, some green bubbles and brown sparkles also add a little bling to the layout.
Thanks for stopping by.
See you next time.
