A start of my Christmas Cards

Well I finally got started making my Christmas Cards. I have two to show you now and will be back with more.

My first card was made using a Card Kit from CTMH. It is called the Pear & Partridge Card making Kit. It has a beautiful stamp set included along with the Pear & Partridge paper, some beautiful tan ribbon and red sparkle gems. I made mine just a bit different. I added some Prism Glitter to the ornaments. The colors used were Cranberry, Olive and Cocoa. It is a very simple card but I think stunning and elegant as well.

The second card is a Twisted Easel Card.

I used the same papers from the kit above. I stamped with Versamark a little deer from the stamp set "Warm Memories" and then embossed it with "Pirate's Gold" embossing powder. The ribbon is the CTMH seam binding ribbon and I colored it with Cranberry Re-inker. I love this ribbon because you can use it as it is or color it any color you want to match your project. I even got out one of my tools I haven't used in a while. You have some like that too , right??  I love this tool I just forget about it some times. It is my "Bow Easy". It makes the best bows ever. So I took it out and made a double bow to add above the oval with the deer in it.

I don't think it shows up in my picture but with this style of card you can put a Battery Tea Light behind the vellum part of he card and it lights up your image that is on the vellum. I want to make more of these with different images. You could have a tree, an angel, a small stocking etc.  It is a fun change on the regular Easel Card. I also used the Apron Lace Fiskars Border Punch along the left edge of the Cashmere CS piece.

Hope you enjoyed these cards. Come back to see some more Christmas Cards over the following days and weeks.

Thanks for stopping by.
