Back in July I believe it was there was a CTMH project shown on Big Picture Classes website on one of there PJ Party nights. Well I didn't get around to making it back then but have completed it now so I thought I would share it with you.
It is almost entirely made using the Artbooking Cartridge and a stamp set that that came in the bundle as well. It was a lot of fun to make and a good learning experience in how the Artbooking cartridge works.
This is the left page. One of the interesting features in using the Artbooking cart. is that you can pick a layout for example and anything you cut on the page in the handbook will cut using the same size on your dial. So in this case the suggested size was 11". So the overlay, title, banners and photo mats were all cut using 11" but as you can see they did not all cut at 11" in actual size. They cut in proportion to all the elements for this layout.
*the only change I made was because I wanted to use some stamps that coordinated with the arrow images I needed to change the dial size to what it said on the stamp carrier sheet and use the RDS button. Then they cut to match the stamp and the Dimensional Elements that were also a par of the Artbooking cart. bundle.
This is the right page. One other little trick I did was for the Sweet leaf photo mats instead of using 3 2 x 2 photos I placed a 4 x 6 behind the openings and trimmed the top and bottom to fit. On the left page I really lucked out in that the kids lined up in the middle opening exactly! Now that doesn't happen very often. On the page above it was a scenery so it worked very easily.
I haven't done a whole lot with the Artbooking cart. yet but after making this layout I am very excited to work with it a lot more. I especially like that you can cut everything the size it says on the handbook page or you can change and cut any size you want. It is so versatile.
Stay tuned for more Cricut projects and more to come.
