"Family" Updated...

I am using the Magnifique paper line making a scrapbook layout. I wanted to make a layout to add pictures of Family that we just had a visit from.  This paper is so pretty with a few new colors in the papers. It has Pacifica, Lagoon and Sky. I used all but sky in this page. I don't have the picture on yet but when I do I will re-post with the page completely done.

See how pretty it is?? I have used a combination of techniques in making this page. I did stamping with some second generation and using the water brush to add some color. The strip that looks pleated is actually just a series of strips of paper all cut in the same spot on the paper and lined up under each other. The ends were slightly rolled up and inked with Chocolate ink. There also are some new embellishments in the gems and Opaques Mocha collections. The flowers and corners are from an Antiqued Copper Foundry Flourishes. Lot's of fun new things to use to make exciting projects. I also added some stamping to the base page giving another area of interest. Finish it off with some stitching. The final step is adding your picture. I got my picture so am updating my post here with it. We were blessed with company from family that we haven't seen in a number of years. From the visit of my husband's  two sisters this was one of the photos.
The stamps sets used were Circle of Love, Unity. Both are very nice versatile stamps.
I will also be back to show you the corresponding page. Check back for that.
