I just Love the Chantilly paper pack!!!

This first layout was taken from the cover of the CTMH Idea Book. I am trying to learn new things on every project I make and this one did just that. I have never used fabric on a layout and making the "sunshine" look strips on a layout were new to me also. So I went to work on figuring out how to reproduce this layout.
Not only did I stitch a piece of the Chantilly Textiles on the lower portion of the page but I also cut a bow with the Cricut Artiste cartridge and the pink fabric.  It cut beautifully!! If you haven't cut fabric yet with your Cricut you have to give it a try.  I tried two different methods actually. They both worked very well. I used a fabric stiffener and Heat n Bond. The Heat n Bond is the easier and quicker method but either one works. I will say though that the Stiffener method leaves the cut much stiffer than the Heat n Bond.

My settings were Blade 4, Speed low and Pressure 5.

I will be using fabric again that's for sure. I am also a seamstress which explains my excitement for using fabric I guess. lol
CTMH has a number of stamps that match with Cricut cuts from the Art Philosophy and Artiste cartridges. In this layout I used Girl's Rock for the flowers and the Art Philosophy cartridge.
I cut my title with Lyrical Letters and the Jumbo feature using white CS and chipboard.
The second layout also uses fabric only this time I ran a strip through my sewing machine and gathered it to make a ruffle. I also did some stitching around the page and on the little squares. It was another fun page to make. Like the layout above I used some fun embellishments too. On the title of this page I also used Lyrical Letters and cut in CS and chipboard but this time also inked the letters with Pear ink.

More Cards

I had run extremely low on my supply of cards. I have made so many but have sent all of them now also. So I was in need of some quick cards.  I had been on the internet and saw some really pretty cards made by Wizards hangout. I loved them so I just had to give them a try myself. Both of these are almost identical I just did the Butterfly different and the sentiment. One Butterfly is stamped and embossed and the other one is a paper butterfly that has a design on it.  Three ink colors were used in stamping the two largest flowers.  I stamped first in Buttercup, then added Sunset to the outer petals with a dauber and lagoon for the center. The pearls I used for the flower centers started out white but I used one of my Alcohol markers to color them.  They have a bright fresh look for the summer.

All products were CTMH except I used an old wooden stamp for the background on these cards.

Thanks for stopping by.
Let me know what you think.

Sympathy card #2

This is another Sympathy card for you.
I used 3 small strips of paper from 3 different paper packs. Don't they look good together? It shows you that many of the CTMH paper packs can be used with each other. I added some Baker's Twine and a stamped flower and leaves from Girl's Rock C 1538 stamp set for the decoration. Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set Card Chatter -Sympathy D 1476

I would love to have you leave a comment too!

Buzz and Bumble Two

Today I have the second layout using the Buzz and Bumble paper pack. This time I put my Granddaughters pictures on it. So as you can see the colors work good for either male or female pictures.

These pages took a bit of figuring out and a bit more time!! But I really liked the end result, I hope you do too.
The first page has 30 hexagons  in different colors and papers. They were made using the stamp set C1537 Honeycomb. It was fun to layout them out starting at one side and finishing at the other side.
I also did quite a bit of stitching in this layout but instead of the tradition 3 strands I only used 1 strand. It gives it a much finer line and looks a bit like machine stitching.

The photo is raised and has a pull out journal tag. The title is made up using 3 different styles. One is stamped, one used the Keyboard alphabet stickers and the last one used the Cricut.  I also used the Buzz and Bumble assortment for some of the embellishing. It came with really cute wood flowers and dragonfly's and faux wax seals. I cut some of our Glitter paper for the first time using the Cricut and it cut so smoothly!!!  That is going to be fun cutting different images to add that bling to projects.

This is the second page. Many of the same elements were used to coordinate with it's matching page.

Thanks for stopping by.
See you next time.

Buzz and Bumble

Buzz and Bumble is a summery paper pack from CTMH. It has the colors of Cocoa , Sunset, Honey, Crème Brulee, Champagne, Goldrush and Sweet Leaf. The Crème Brulee and Cocoa is so pretty together and then using Sunset as a focal color to give it a little "Pop". I loved a couple of the layouts that are in the current Idea Book using this paper and embellishments that coordinate. They gave me a challenge which I love. I love to try new things and figure new things out too.

I made two (2) page layouts. I will post one set here today and post the other tomorrow.
The layout today I also used the stickease that were a coordinating product.

I had to add pictures of my little Grandson. This layout was not difficult. The second one I post was the challenging one!!! I did do a little stitching and used the Artiste cartridge for the titles. The embellishments are the stickease and the journaling strips were done on the computer using Custom Color to match the layout.

Thanks for stopping by.
See you next time.
