Christmas Gift card Holders
I have another one of my Christmas posts. I wanted to show you these two Gift card holders because although mine are Christmas oriented you can cut this same cut for any occasion. It was cut using the Cricut CTMH Artiste cartridge for all cuts.
The gift holder is on pg 56. I cut it at 4 3/4". Then I cut it again with a B&T paper from a retired Christmas paper I had and cut it apart layering it on the front and back and inside portions.
To decorate the front I used an image from the CTMH Oct SOTM. The ornament shape was cut from pg 79 at 3". I stamped the image on the cut with Olive ink and then applied Prism glitter. I don't know if it shows up in the picture but it turned out really sparkly. I used the CTMH stamp set called "Christmas Joy" for the sentiment on the front.
I cut a rectangle for the inside to add the inside message from the CTMH stamp "Merry & Bright"
This one was for my Nephew.
This one was for my Niece.

Christmas Treats
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Now that it is over and all the rushing is done I hope to get back to posting more often and showing you all new projects and techniques along the way.
I wanted to show you a couple of projects I had made for my Christmas that I didn't get posted before Christmas. If you are still in the mode than you can make these for next year or just take a look.
The picture is of one of my table favors .Aren't they cute little snowmen? I scrap lifted this from the Internet. If I can find my notes and I have the site I will come back and post it. My room is still in chaos mode and until I get everything back I don't have my specific info handy. But quickly how these go together is like this. I took either a roll of life savors or 5 Rolo's as my inside so they would stand. I took a piece of White CS approx. 3 1/2" x 3 1/2". It will vary depending on what you use on the inside. My Rolo ones were a bit shorter than the Life savors. I took out one of my old CTMH stamp sets called "All Decked Out" and stamped with Heavenly Blue along the bottom with a snow swirl stamp. Then I used the face and the buttons and stamped them in Black. I used CTMH colored pencils and the water brush to color in the nose with Orange. To make the hat I bought some red glove mittens and cut off the thumb and fingers. Once you have a finger cut off take it and roll up the bottom a little to give it a rim. Then to finish off the hat attach a Glitter pom pom hot glued to the top of the hat. The last thing was to add a scarf. I took a variety of ribbons and tied them around. This picture was taken before I added the name tags. But I made very small tags and had each persons name on each of the snowmen for the table.
PS To get the hat on easily I took the snowman and held it against me and then pulled it right over the top.
The second project was also scrap lifted from one I had seen on the web. I changed it a bit to use the supplies I owned. I cut it using the Artiste Cricut cartridge. It is a Chocolate treat holder.
The cut for the holder is from pg 60 . It is a cut for a mini album but I made it into this treat holder. I used Cranberry CS for the base cut at 2 1/4".
To decorate the front I used an old pack of CTMH paper called Mistletoe and cut a piece 2.25" to add to the front.
Then I cut with white CS from the same pg 60 the Lacey frame at 2.25".
The last 2 cuts again from pg 60 were cut once in cranberry CS at 1.5" and once in white CS at 1.38".
I stamped with Cranberry ink "JOY" on the white piece.
Then I layered these and pop dotted them on top of the frame.
Lastly I punched some pine branches using the Martha Stewart punch in Garden Green and Olive CS. I put 4 of these together and added a twine bow on top.
Inside I attached some Ghiradelli squares.
To keep it closed but able to get inside without tearing it I used small hook and loop dots.
