I've Been Organizing.......

Beginning August 1 2012 CTMH had a new Idea Book launch. I wanted to be able to keep a record of products I own both stamps and everything else. So I made one book to log any stamps I already own and room for ones I hope to own. I made a second book that lists all the papers, ribbons, brads, chipboard's, rub ons, tools, etc. In other words everything else you can think of.
The picture below is my Supplies Book.

I used mostly CTMH products. They are CTMH unless stated. Papers is from Cherry-O to cover the book. I used 3 different B&T papers.  I added some paper flowers I had in my stash. The button is from the Basic buttons and tied with the Basics Twine. cardstock is Blush and Chocolate for the label. I ound it all together with my Bind-It -All.

These show a couple of my inside pages. The view on the left are where I mark the inks, markers, card stock, and re-inkers I own. I added a card stock circle for each of the colors. That gives me a quick visual of the color when I am looking for one to match what I am working on. The view on the right shows all the different tabs I have throughout the book. I used my Dymo label maker to identify each tab. Some of the tabs I have are Organization products, ribbons, albums, glues, embellishments, Dimensional Elements, My Creations chipboard etc.

The second book below is the book to record the stamps I own.
I again used mostly CTMH products unless stated otherwise. I used the Caprice papers to cover this book. I added a Kraft border strip that I inked with Crystal Blue ink first The flowers are misc from my stash with buttons from CTMH. The label was made from a Milepost shape. It is corrugated on one side and smooth on the other. I used the smooth side and stamped "My Stamps" with Cocoa ink. Again it was bound with the Bind-It-All.

This is a view of the inside. I put in tabs from A_Z and record my stamps alphabetically. I also used a separate tab for Alphabets which I put in first.

The next picture shows all the tabs and my listing on one of the tabs.

The next book I have to go along with my stamp book is an old photo album that I have 3 x 5 pictures of each of my stamps. Again it is in the same alphabetical order.  I log everything in this book except for Christmas/Holiday which are in a smaller book of there own. I also have tabs dividing it in alphabetical order A-Z. It matches the written version of my system. The last part to my system is that I store my stamps in large drawers of a chest I have in my scraproom. I didn't think to add a picture of that here. But it has the alphabetical dividers and all the stamps are in the same order as the books. So if I am working on a project and have something in mind I can flip through my picture book of my stamps and look for the image I want. The name is recorded there as well so I can to my drawers and find it easily. The written part of the book helps both in knowing what I have so I don't buy it again lol.

Thanks for stopping by. See you next time.

"You are my Joy"

I got out one of my older paper packs to make a layout I had planned on making but just never got to it. Do you know what I mean? Time gets away from you and WOW all of a sudden you are days weeks or months down the road.

So today I have a layout from the CTMH paper pack called "Lucy". It has the colors of Blush, Sweet Leaf, and  Grey Wool. I used the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge to make some flowers for some of the embellishments and the mats for the photo. I used a stamp set called "Keepsake Alphabet" for prt of the title. It is an alphabet that you can connect the letters when stamping to look like handwriting. It was a fun way to add interest to the layout. A few other embellishments I used were Bitty Pearls, Paradise Paper flowers, White buttons from the Basic collection , Dimensional Elements for the Hearts, Blush brads, Sweet Leaf ribbon Waxy flax and embroidery floss for stitching.

I used the pictures from my Granddaughter's 4th Birthday. She was dressed in the perfect colors. How often does that happen?? lol My daughter is the talented cake maker. She made the "Pirate" cake totally from scratch. She makes them down to the tiniest detail. I can't wait to see what her cake will be for her 5th Birthday.

Hope you enjoy these layouts. Come back soon for my next post.
