Easter is coming soon

I love Easter. Especially now again because of my Grandkids. My memories of how much fun it was going on Easter Egg hunts and looking for my Easter Basket. So while surfing the web at all the crafty people out there I put together this Easter Basket. I'm sorry I don't have the specific name of the main creator of this bunny but I want to thank you very much for your creativity.
I used the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge by CTMH , my Gypsy and a couple of circle punches to make these bunny baskets.
I used white and Cotton Candy CS and inked the edges with Grey Wool ink. A white pen to make her eyes. You can make all different expressions with just a bit of white.

I made this basket  in two sizes. By changing the ribbon bow to pink or blue you can have a boy bunny or girl bunny. I am going to fill them with a little easter grass and jelly beans etc. The bunny is built onto the front of a box that the treats will go in.
This one is the smaller one. It may be hard to tell in the pictures. But aren't they cute litte  bunnies?

This is the bigger of the two Easte Bunny Baskets.

Here is the back of the box/basket. I added a bit of polyfill for her tail.   I love these! I hpe you do to.

Lucy Layout #1

I love the colors of pink and green and the lucy paper pack from CTMH is just that. This line also has Glittery Rub-Ons that coordinate with it which are easy and fun to use on this layout.

All the embellishments on these pages are from the Glittery Rub Ons. The base page is Sweet leaf pattern paper, Grey Wool CS and two other pattern papers from the Lucy kit. It is a great design for using lot's of photos too.
I hope you enjoy this layout. I wil be back with more from this same kit soon.

6 Petal Flower

I love making these little 3x3 cards and in doing so I am trying my hand at making different flowers on each one. While browsing the internet I have come across a number of different flowers. I wanted to try my hand at making some of them.  So today I have a 3x3 card that I used the Lucy paper X7149B for the flower and card pieces. For the 1/4" strip I used Pear CS. The flower is made from another B&T in the Lucy paper pack. To make this flower first you need to cut 6 of Petal 1 on page 65 and 1 of Flower 7 on page 39 of the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  The Flower 7 is the cut for the base to build your flower on. The 6 petals will make up your flower. To finish the fower I added a large Cream pearl from the Opaque pearls. The ink colors I used are Sweet Leaf,Pear, and Cotton Candy.
It is an easy flower to make but hard to describe in the written form. If you are interested in making this flower leave me a comment and I will put up step by step pictures for you.

3x3 Lucy Card

Posted by PicasaI have a 3x3 card for all of you today. Isn't it Sweet?? I am interested right now in making my own Flowers either with the Cricut or Stamps or whatever way possible. This flower was made using the stamp set,  B1365 Spring Up. One of the stamps included in this set is a polka dot flower. It has lines that after it is stamped you cut along the lines to form the flower. To get the flower full looking like this one you need to stamp the flower twice. One is cut out and left flat. The other is cut along the lines and then rolled up with tweezers. Oh!! before I rolled it up I inked the edges and used a small round stick to curl the flower petal edges.  I added a couple of leaves and a tag stamped with "Spring" attached with Bakers Twine and some Color Ready seam binding ribbon to complete the card. The Color Ready Seam Binding is a ribbon that you can color any color you want or use it as it comes. I used the Pear ink in this example using a dauber. It covered it really nicely. This is going to be a fun product to use.
I will list the CTMH supplies below. If you would like step by step pictures leave me a comment and I will add them to this post.

XOXO Layout

Sorry for the delay in getting some projects posted. Life got in the way of my crafting!! But I am back in my craft room and hope to get busy with lot's of fun projects. I will post as I get them done.

Today I have a layout made with all CTMH products. This one has some of my favorite colors Olive and Smokey Plum. Isn't it a pretty combination? To put this layout together I used a combination of two paper packs., Enchanted and Sonoma. I love to use different techniques when working on my projects  and for this layout I did some tone on tone stamping and making my own flowers. I stamped a cluster of designs on the left page in the upper left of the base page and another one on the Right page in the bottom right corner using Olive Ink. The flowers were made by using a leaf stamp to make a flower. I used Smokey Plum Ink. You take the large outline leaf stamp and stamp it 5 times going around in a circle. Then to fill color to the inside of the leaf outline I turned the stamp around and used the back side with second generation Smokey Plum Ink (which is a flat oval shape now) and stamped over each petal made with the outline leaf stamp. When you are done you end up with Flowers!! I made 3 large ones and 2 using the small outline leaf stamp. Now cut them out and ink the edges with Smokey Plum ink. To embellish the pages and finish the flower centers  I used the Pewter Mini medley collection. Now I just need to get the pictures on and it will be officially finished.

I hope you Enjoyed this post. I'll be back soon with another project.
