Spring in Bloom

I had fun making these layouts using the  paper from the Sophia Workshop kit from CTMH. It uses the colors, Pear, Hollyhock , Blush, and Goldrush.  A couple of fun techniques that are used in making these pages are Cluster Stamping and a interesting way of adding the photos. The right page has the large 5 x 7 focal layout along with 6  2x2 photos. The series of small pictures is  a good way to add to the story of your layout.

To make the Blush card stock scalloped strips use the corner rounder listed below by taking the wings off.

There are a couple of ways to do the technique called  Cluster Stamping. One way is to group a variety of stamps on a block and stamp making a background paper.  The other method is what was use in this layout.  It is   was done by stamping multiple stamps  building  a new design.  The cluster areas are made up of stamps directly on the layout and stamps that have been stamped and cut out. A few buttons were also added and your final product is an interesting look to the page.

Products used:

G1019 Sophia Workshop—includes the Sophia paper, a special stamp set , the buttons listed below and colonial white waxy flax also listed below.

Express Yourself

Today I have a simple card using the Wings Workshop Kit and the Spray Pen. You get an interesting look with the Spray Pen.

The flower was made by stamping five hearts from the Wings exclusive stamp set. A Button Brad was added for the center. The pieces that have somewhat of a pink speckled look are from using the Spray Pen with the Vineyard Berry Re-Inker, Pearl Paint and Rubbing alcohol mixed together.  Two more Button Brads were placed down in the corner to balance it all off. The card base is Sweet Leaf Card stock. This is just 1 of the cards that are detailed in the workshop.
Thanks for stopping by.

A New TOOL called a Spray Pen

Here is a video called "Spray Pen Unplugged".  I love learning about new fun techniques and cute little tools to do them with! Because I have shown you some projects and have some more to come using this little wonder I thought a video would be helpful to learn how it can be used. I didn't make this video or any of the others I post on my blog (maybe someday) but CTMH has done these for us and I think they are a great tool for learning new things.

Have fun learning about this new tool called a Spray Pen:

A Little Princess

Here is another layout using the Wings Workshop Kit from CTMH. If you haven't ever heard of these kits they are a really good value and you get  to learn a new technique with each kit. An example of what comes in a kit is a Level 2 paper pack which includes patterned paper and card stock, an embellishment that coordinates with the kit, an exclusive stamp set and a a Guide showing how to make these 2 pages and 3 different cards. The embellishment is the Mini Medley Black collection and a Spray Pen.. The colors in this kit are Vineyard Berry, Sweet Leaf and Black. The technique used in making the layout was using the Spray Pen and spraying to add shimmer and color to different parts of the design. The sentiment on the right page was done by placing the stamp on the paper without any ink using it as a mask. Then loading the pen with Pearl Paint, Vineyard Berry Re-Inker and either water or Rubbing Alcohol and spraying over the paper and stamp. Then you remove the stamp and you are left with a blank space without any color. Clean off the stamp and then stamp it as you normally would with black ink in that open space. This Spray Pen is going to be lot's of fun in many projects to come.
This is the stamp set that came in this kit. I will have some more  projects in the coming days showing some other uses with this stamp and these papers.

Tea Bag Holders

While looking around the internet at all the wonderful Craft Blogs I found this Tea Bag Container. I thought it was so cute and would make a wonderful gift for that Tea drinking friend.  I just had to make one and that led to making a second one. lol I probably am not done with making these. I used CTMH papers and stamp sets. I used a Retired paper pack called Key to My Heart and another beautiful paper called Veranda. I think they will be a beautiful container in anyone's kitchen. I used the stamp set called A Sip for the Key to my Heart for the top of the container. The Teapots for both of them were cut from the Cricut. and the tags were also.

This is the one made using Key to my Heart paper

The first picture shows the front.
This is the top with the spoon embossed with silver and small pearls added to the handle along the side of the cup with steam. There is a tag hanging from the cup that says " You Warm my Heart"

This last picture shows the side where I placed oval pearls between the two papers and are on all 3 sides.

The next one was made using the Veranda paper

This is a picture of the side where I placed Opaque Mocha Pearls around all 3 sides.

The last picture is showing the top. On this one I made dimensional flowers from flat paper flowers. I then added some Pearl Paint and glitter. The leaves were cut from the Cricut and inked with chocolate ink.

I had so much fun making these. I'm sure they won't be my last. You place the tea bags in the front opening. The space that holds the tea bags is 6" tall, so you will be able to load it with many tea bags.
