A Little Christmas Tag

Remember me saying I am trying to get a little Christmas done each month so I am ready when December comes. Well today I have a small gift card or it could be used as a tag to show you.  It is 2 1/2 x 3 1/2. I used all CTMH products. I have a couple more I will be posting.

Sweet Card

This month I have been working with the Felicity kit. I wanted to share another project from this kit. It is a 5 x 7 card this time using the card book Originals and the pattern called Tiny Twins. It uses a portion of one of the die cuts and stamping, pleating ribbon, stitching and layering. I really like how it turned out and the techniques were fun to put together resulting in this card.

The flowers are layered and pop dotted on the center part of the card. The stamping has both 1st and 2nd generation stamping in the flowers and leaves. The colonial white ribbon was pleated using the tape runner method. You place a strip of adhesive down where you want your ribbon. Then take your ribbon and hand pleat as you go across the adhesive strip pushing the ribbon onto the adhesive as you continue to the end. I applied 3 Colonial white buttons that were threaded before attaching. Stitching was also added using Ecru color thread from DMC. This is another example of using the die cuts in another way.

Thank You Card

For this little card I used the Topstitch paper line.  I added a little paper piercing design along the side.I put the the bottom side as the top side to change the look a bit. It is another way of adding a little texture in a quick way. I also used Liquid Applique for the cupcake frosting, and a little Prism glitter was added to the cherries. I colored in the stamp design with Heavenly Blue, Baby Pink, Tulip and Chocolate markers.

Because I like these 3 x 3 cards so much I decided to make a box so they can be stored  all in one spot.   I just love the Silhoutte paper line and used that to make the 3 x 3 card box. 

It opens up by the front square with the design stamped from the Alfresco stamp set. It slips into a slit made in the front of the box. It is a fun box to make and holds quite a few cards and envelopes.

Another Felicity Card

I have another example using the Felicity Kit. This is a 3 1/2" x 8" card. I am really getting into liking this size card. It fits in a regular business envelope so it is easy to mail. This is such a beautiful set. Hope you like it.

Valentine Cards and Treat Bag

This one was made for our Granddaughter using the Wishes Card Book. The stamp sets used were Sans Upper and lowercase Alphabet, E size Boutique Alpha, and Cottage Floral

 

This one also came from the Wishes card book. I am giving this one to my husband. I know it is a little delicate looking but with the neutral colors and traditional hearts I am hoping he will like it. I used 2 stamp sets. Soul Mates Word Puzzle for hearts and border strip. Love you Forever for the sentiment on the front and inside(not shown here) I forgot to take a picture of the inside. 

 

My Husband absolutely loves Pistachio nuts. So I made up a couple of Treat bags and added a bit of M&M peanuts to give them the Red and pink Valentine color. The toppers were Valentine papers left over from other projects. I didn't get the last Valentine project I was working on done. It is so close but just not quite. So I will finish it and save it to hang next year and be that much ahead next year.

Valentine's Day

I made a few of those Lollipop covers for Valentine's Day.

 

They are a fun quick way to give a treat to the kids or anyone on your Valentine List. I put in heart shaped suckers in mine. These measurements will work for quite a few different candies I think. It is 5 1/2" x 2 1/2". Score at 2 1/2" from both ends. That leaves a 1/2 space at the top for the sucker to be placed. I placed 2 heart shaped brads one on each side to close it down around the stick. I added stickers to decorate and a ribbon around the stick. It is hard to see but I also made a tag with the persons name on it and attached it with Waxy flax around the stick as well. if you are in a pinch they are fast enough to make it a hurry.

I used Heidi Grace, Cloud 9 and misc from my stash. I will be back with a few other Valentine projects I had made.

This kit is such a fun kit to work with. I started making some of the cards also using parts of the Die Cut papers and the stamp set that came with it. It is amazing how far you can get one Die Cut paper to go. Here is my first card to show you. You can order all the products  from my website.

Felicity Layout #2

What do you think of this layout? Another fun one to work on. Aren't these little Birds cute? It is not quite finished besides needing pictures the title will go between both pages and make the flourishes blend in not look so alone on the page. I haven't decided which pictures yet so couldn't do my title.

Felicity Layout

Remember the CTMH special in January? It was a beautiful set of papers and Die Cut papers. I hope you got a chance to get yours.  Today I am showing you one of the layouts and will have another layout and cards over the next few days. It has been so fun working with the Die Cut papers and how far just one can go.There are a few techniques used making them all the more special. These are some of the techniques used. Valentine 3x3 card

 With Feb being the month for Valentine's Day I made a very easy but cute Valentine card.

I finally did it!!!

I know this month is for Valentine's Day and I will get some valentine projects posted but I finally finished my Christmas layouts and wanted to share them with you. I continued on with my Evensong Level 2 paper pack and added just a bit of some retired B&T papers to round it out. I will list my supplies used at the end.
