How is your weekend going?

I thought I would check in and see what everyone is up to. I have been so busy with non crafting things I am going crazy!! I need to get in some crafting time. You know what I mean?

I did get to do a Fiskars Demo last Wednesday at my LSS. I featured the new Premium paper trimmer. It was loved by everyone who stopped for the Demo. So far there isn't a negative word about it. IT IS GREAT!!! This really shows how well Fiskars listens to what all of us crafters want in a tool.

Here are a couple of pictures of this wonderful product!! The second picture shows the wire feature in a close up.

You can also go to the Fiskacrafts web site by clicking Here and see a tutorial and 3 projects done by Lisa Falduto. They are beautiful projects that you won't want to miss. Everything she says about the trimmer I ditto!!

There is also another cute project done by Lisa Storms found Here. She is using the scoring blade in the trimmer to make those cute ruffles everyone is using on there projects. This project is also on the Fiskacrafts web site. I am going to give this technique a try and will post it when I do. I love the ruffle look. I think it must be because of my sewing background. But this shows you if sewing isn't in your background not to worry.

This trimmer is very lightweight. It is packed with so many features all rolled into one making it the MOST fantastic trimmer yet. The Triple track for straight cutting is one of my favorite things , along with the large base for cutting combined with the extended arm making it over 15". I absolutely LOVE this trimmer and I think you will to. If you have any questions I will be happy to try and answer them.

You will also notice that the design is different on the one pictured in this message and the one in Lisa's tutorial. I just wanted you to know that it is made with these different prints but it is the same trimmer. So if you are out looking to buy a new trimmer I highly recommend this one if you are.

Beauty in the Desert

I wanted to share these Beautiful Blooms that appeared in my backyard this week. Before moving to Arizona I never would have guessed you would see such beauty from a Cactus!! But I have seen such big, colorful, flowers coming from all different kinds of cactus that just take your breath away. This cactus had 15 flowers all open on the same day!! They are hard to describe and my pictures don't do them justice but I hope you can get a little bit of how beautiful the desert can be.

I'm Back!!

Sorry for the long delay in putting some new entries on my blog. I have been busy with things other than crafting and I hope to have time now to get some projects done and new posts here for all of you.

I have made a card of this style before but it is so much fun to make and I needed to make a card for a good friend of mine who is having a Birthday. I decided because she is a crafter also I wanted to make an interactive card. I chose the Free Standing Card.
I used my Score Pal for all the scoring. I love that tool!!! CTMH papers and stamps were also used. This paper is from the Silhouette line. The stamp set is Life's Creations.
I hope you enjoy this card. I hope to be back with lot's more soon.

Thanks for hanging in there with me.
