Cupcake Gift Card Holder

There is a very talented CTMH consultant Tresa Black has figured out how to make this Cupcake as a Gift card Holder
You can view her video to make one of these here
Well I fell in love with it and knew I had to try it. It is a little time consuming but rewarding at the completion of it. I plan on making some more trying different colors for the frosting etc. It sure beats giving a gift card in one of those generic paper sleeves!!!
I hope you like it as much as I do. Thanks so much Tresa!!

Scallop Card

I had another birthday card to make for this month so I decided to try this Scallop Card. This was another fun card to make. Your message comes out using any 2 of the scallops. I used Rub-ons for the happy Birthday and some embellishments I had to decorate the front.

Flower Pot Card

I found this card on the Internet. I think it was at SCS. Anyway it looked like a fun card to make and I had some birthday cards to make so this is what I made. I made the first one for my daughter and the second one for my sister. There birthdays were April 15Th and 16Th. I had fun with this design. I used my Cricut to cut out the flowers, a Martha Stewart border punch Doily Lace for the edge of the Flower Pot. The Happy Birthday is a CTMH stamp set called Happy Birthday.

My Easter Cards

Easter Cards (I had to wait until everyone got their cards before I could post them)

Here are some of my Easter Cards I made. I used my Cricut Expressions and the cut files I got from Wanda over at http://myscraphappyplace.blogspot.com/ It was so fun to cut the Chick out and then put together a card. I used a retired CTMH stamp for the inside saying.

This card was made using the same Chick as above but made on a smaller card

This was so much fun!! I love these Stair Step Cards

Card Recipe:
I used the following CTMH stamp sets
Bunny Love
Speckled Eggs
March Word Puzzle
CTMH paper flowers with Create A Shade Pearl Paint.
Martha Stewart border picket fence punch
Nestibilities for the scallop circles
A misc stamp for the Happy Easter.
The paper is CTMH from the Emporium pack.

I used the following technique on the paper flowers. I started with white flowers. I used my CTMH markers and colored each of the flowers. Insert a brad. Then I took the Pearl Paint and brushed it over each of the flowers including the brads. Let dry and you have a nice pearlized look .

The CTMH ink and marker colors used were Heavenly blue, Lilac Mist, Sunny Yellow, Hollyhock, Key lime, Desert sand and Chocolate. I think that was all of them.

This was another card made using the Cricut and a cut file from Wanda as mentioned above. I love the Chicky legs hanging over the edge. This also was made using the Cuttlebug and one of my Fiskars Texture plates to make the design in the basket.
I hope you enjoyed seeing these even though Easter is over.

If all goes well I will be showing you all how to use the new Scalloped Punches with the coordinating clear stamps that go with them.

Fiskars has made Circles, Squares, Ovals, and Hearts in the punches and then the same shapes in the stamps. It should be a lot of Fun. Stop by and try them out with me. We will make a card using these products. I hope tp see you there.

Fiskars Oval Border Punch

Remember a while back I posted about the Fiskars Oval Border Punch? I was having difficulty in getting a consistent nice oval when I was done. Well another fellow Fiskateer Debby #2852 has done a video showing how she has figured out how to do these Oval punches. Here is the link for you to go check it out. http://debbysdares.blogspot.com/2009/04/fiskars-friday-on-thursday_09.html

I haven't tried her method yet but plan to as soon as I have a chance. I think she may have figured out the last part of the puzzle for me in making these ovals. Let me know what you think if you go over there. I would love to know how many people own these Oval border punches and haven't been able to use them or if you have do you have any additional info to add??

Sandy is very talented and teaches you many different techniques and tricks. One of my friends went to the class today so I will see if I can borrow her project to post for you all to get a little idea of what you might do at one of Sandy's classes. Swing cards

These are what you call "Swing Cards" They are very easy to make but I think have a nice impact. I used 3x 4/14CTMH cardstock and stamp in both of them. They are just using different colors. The top portion swings open to reveal the message. It swings on a brad that is inserted through all 3 pieces of paper.
The Card:
Base is cut at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.
2 pieces cut at 3 x 4 1/4 for front amethyst and key lime 1st card and sunflower and key lime 2nd card
Sentiment--2 x 2 1/4 white, 2 1/4 x 2 5/8 lilac mist, 2 1/2 x 2 7/8 blush
Stamp on white 2 x 2 1/4 piece

Happy Birthday Stair Step Card

I have been waiting to post this because it was a SECRET for a while now. But it isn't anymore so here it is. I had wanted to try the stair step card and when the call came out for birthday cards to celebrate Fiskars 360th Birthday!! by making a card and sending it.
So I decided to make this card using the orange and green Fiskars colors. You can find the post about this here: http://www.fiskateers.com/blog/2009/03/27/wondering-where-your-card-is/
I am proud to be Fiskateer #324. Happy Birthday Fiskars!!

Some more 3x3 cards
