I'm sorry I am a bit late on the Fiskars Friday posting. But here is my trouble. I was planning on giving you a Demo on the Oval Border Punch. A friend of mine surprised me with one of these punches and I wanted to pass along some info on how to use it. Well I wasn't able to give it much time and so I don't have much to say except that I was able to get the Thick oval side to work but not the thin side.
So I am asking any of you out there to help me out for this posting. I know I am supposed to be giving you some tips and tricks but this time I need to reverse it and ask you. It is a beautiful punch but I need some pointers. Granted I haven't given it much time but let's see what you can tell me about this particular tool.
Thank you so much.
Welcome to my little corner of crafting. I hope you get a little bit of inspiration and ideas.

Everything is "GREEN"
Well we just had our second months Fiskateer Product swap. This time the color was Green. So like last months Pink swap everyone who participated bought products that were Green in color to swap with the group who signed up for the swap. We sign up on the 1st of the month and have 20 as the maximum # of people in the swap. You spend $20.00 and divide all that you buy with your $20 into 20 baggies and send to me along with return postage for me to send it back after I have sorted all the baggies. It is great fun!! You must be a Fiskateer to join this swap. I have information on my blog on how to become a Fiskateer if you are interested.
As you can see by the pictures it is quite the swap!! Tomorrow I will be posting for the March Swap. The color for March will be revealed then.
Fiskars Feb Demo
These are some pictures from one of my Fiskars Demo/ Make n Take at my LSS. I have everyone take a number and I demonstrate to 4 people at a time. That seems to work out well giving people the time they need and questions can be asked and answered as well as accomodating all that stop by. Because I am unable to get up and move about this is the setup I discovered works the best for me. I have the tables pushed together so the tools can be passed to each other easliy and everyone can see what I am doing also. As you can see the ladies wanted to have there areas picked up before the pictures were taken. Trust me it was not that neat during work time. lol This is pictures of 2 of the groups that came by that day. Sorry I didn't get pictures of everyone. The project was a Valentine's card.
I have a March Demo coming up on the 11th at the same LSS.

FREE Fiskars Demo's
I will be doing a FREE Fiskars Demo / Make-n-Take on March 11th and April 8th from 12-2PM. I will be doing these at my LSS -- Pages in Progress in Tucson, AZ . Stay tuned for pictures of the projects hopefully soon. There may be a giveaway or two also!! Come by and have fun learning about Fiskars tools and making a fun project at the same time. I will be using some of the new squeeze punches.
A note on Squeeze punches. They come in Extra Large, Large and Medium sizes. Some designs are in all 3 sizes and some aren't. But no matter what if you have an Extra Large Punch it will measure 2". The Large Punch will be 1.5" The Medium Punch will be 1" If you keep that in mind you can always determine the size of your squeeze punches.

Valentine Cards
I also was busy making Valentine Cards. Here are a couple I made. I made a Spring Card for the first one.I used I used Heidi Grace papers and CTMH stamp set, misc stamp set and Fiskars scallop scissors. I had to throw in a little glitter too!!! That is another style card I was wanting to try. When you pull it out of the envelope it Springs open. This one was sent to my little Granddaughter.
The second one I made for my Husband. The heart is hanging in a window made in the front of the card.I used hemp to frame the window opening wrapping it around a brad at each corner. I stamped words on the twill ribbon across the bottom. I also distressed the card with some sanding. I used the pink and brown to give it a little more of a masculine feel plus I love that combination. This was all CTMH products except for the chipboard letter "V". Although I covered it with CTMH papers. That V started out as a lime green letter!!! Can you believe that?? See how you can change things you have to make them work with what you are working on? This is a good way of using leftover pieces etc.

Thank You Cards
I have been busy making some 3x3 Thank You cards. Here are a few I have made recently. I used a very simple design but I think they are still cute. What do you think? I used mainly CTMH products. The papers were a Creative Basic set with the colors of Vineyard Berry, Twilight and Sweet Leaf. The stamp set was a Thank you set. Ink colors same as the papers. I also used glitter on the center flower design.

We're in the PINK!!!!!
I am Hostess for a monthly swap I hold through the Fiskateers message board. This year each month we are swapping items that are the color for the month. For our first month of January we swapped the color Pink. There are 20 people max in the swap and we each purchased $20.oo worth of Pink items. I wanted to show what the end results look like from this swap. This picture is all of the items out of there bags from each person.
As you can see it is a fun exciting swap. You get all sorts of items to add to your stash of supplies. Many things are items that some of us can't get in our areas which makes it really nice to have so many different products.
This month we are swapping the color GREEN.
